How to review an editable diagram draft
Trace the meaning of every node and arrow against the source image, then choose the original or locally edited .drawio download.
- One saved example
- 5 nodes / 5 connectors
- Review before use
01
What should I check in an AI-generated diagram?
Compare the saved draft with its source image node by node and arrow by arrow. The public example contains five nodes and five directed connectors, including a No branch back to Revise and a Yes branch to Publish. In the workbench you can edit the title, node labels and positions, and connector labels before exporting a separate .drawio copy. Check connector endpoints in Draw.io; this editor does not rewire them.
02
Review the saved five-node example
Keep both views open
Open the source image and saved result at full size. These images come from the same successful job; they are not two independent customer examples.
Match the five nodes
Find Start, Review request, Approved?, Revise, and Publish. Compare spelling and meaning with the source. A correct node count alone does not prove every label is right.
Trace all five connectors
Follow Start → Review request → Approved?. Check Approved? → Revise is marked No, Revise → Review request forms the return loop, and Approved? → Publish is marked Yes. Look at the arrowheads, not only proximity.
Make only supported local edits
The workbench can change the diagram title, node labels and positions, and connector labels. It can download an edited .drawio copy without replacing the saved original. For a wrong source or target node, inspect and repair the file in Draw.io.
Export and inspect again
Choose the original .drawio download or the locally edited export, open it in diagrams.net, and recheck the decision loop. The official open-file instructions use File > Open From > Device.
03
What to learn from this example
One conversion produced the saved five-node, five-connector draft shown here. The .drawio file stores separate shapes and connections so you can continue editing them. This is one example, not an accuracy rate across other diagrams.
Review every new result yourself, especially crossings, faint arrowheads, and small text. For better inputs, read screenshot preparation; for a new job, return to the home page and check pricing.
04
Review questions
Does five nodes and five edges mean the tool is always accurate?
No. Those counts describe one saved example that matched its recorded ground truth. They do not measure performance on other images.
Will local edits overwrite the original result?
No. The workbench exports local edits as another .drawio file; the saved original remains available for comparison.
Can I fix a wrong connector endpoint in the workbench?
Not in the current workbench editor. It edits connector labels, not endpoints. Open the downloaded file in Draw.io to repair its structure.
Which download should I keep?
Keep the saved original for comparison. If you changed supported fields in the workbench, download the edited .drawio copy too and inspect it separately.
Review your own diagram
Use the source image as your checklist, then export the version you have checked.
